Martin Parr is a documentary photographer best known for his ‘everyday’ photographs of Britain, in particular seaside and rural locations with a focus on ‘working class’ people and mundane or ‘tacky’ subjects. There is much humour in his work and his preference for vibrant colours gives his work a distinctive aesthetic.

Garry Winogrand is famous for his distinctive style of street photography which involved shooting many, many photographs in order to achieve the perfect frame. His photographs are unposed and capture snapshots of real life. He was such a prolific photographer that after his death more than 2,500 undeveloped films were found in his house!

Elliott Erwitt has had a wide ranging career in photography from documentary to fashion and advertising. A theme that runs throughout his work is a sense of humour and use of animals!
